Howard Behrens
Behrens is energetic and enthusiastic.
His outlook is optomistic.He is excited about his art and it is no wonder that he produces work with similar character. He paints tirelessly in his studio at his Maryland home eschewing approaches that he describes as 'over-calculated' or 'computerised'. When away from painting Behrens pursues his other interests including his many trips to the 'shore'. The 'shore can be anywhere - Bethany Beach in Delaware or Santorini in the Greek Islands. On these trips to the shore he is always snapping away recording the images that will later be transformed into paintings and serigraphs.
